Finding out “how things work” has been one of my main interests for as long as I can remember. As a designer, I take great pleasure in constantly looking for new processes and technologies to generate form and meaning. I am naturally drawn to work that uses sharp lines, bright colors, sans serif typography, and generally work that uses a lot of motion, either literally or in how it leads the viewer’s eye. Design Thinking is central in my process of developing concepts, because knowing how to ask better questions, and understanding the needs and wants of the audience is vital to making meaning in my designs. I take inspiration from a wide variety of sources, ranging from the old masters of Swiss Typography, to the modern-day tech gurus like Gmunk and Joshua Davis. I am excited to put these processes into action to make the world a more design-friendly place. After graduation, I plan to move back home to Dayton, job search full time, and win at life.
